For parents and families

Stay close when you cannot be at the bedside.

LuvviCare helps you stay connected during your child's time in hospital. Your care team may send updates, start a video call or livestream, and play your voice at the bedside. You can also find parent information and keep track of moments that matter.

LuvviCare is free for families. Your care team must approve your account before hospital messages, calls, livestreams, or bedside playback become available.

Getting started

How access works

Your hospital controls access to information about your child's care. The steps may look a little different at each hospital.

  1. 1

    Start with your hospital

Your hospital may invite you or give you a QR code. You may also begin in the app.

  2. 2

    Follow the steps

If the app shows a QR code, ask your care team to scan it. Your hospital may also need to check your details.

  3. 3

    Wait for approval

Hospital messages, calls, livestreams, and bedside playback stay locked until your care team approves your account.

If you are not sure whether your hospital uses LuvviCare, ask your care team.

Staying connected

Updates when your care team sends them

Approved hospital features can help you see and hear from the people caring for your child when you cannot be in the unit.

  • Get messages and photos when your care team sends them.
  • Join a video call started by your care team.
  • View a bedside livestream when your hospital offers one.
  • Read translated care-team messages when a translation is available. Messages can be translated into 74 languages.

Audio Care

Your voice, at your child's bedside

You may be able to record a lullaby, read a story, or simply say goodnight. You can also explore audio and guidance made for families.

If your hospital offers bedside playback, your care team can play your recordings after your account has been approved.

Audio Care is not a treatment or medical service. Your care team decides how audio is used for your child.

Parent education

Clear information for each stage

Read articles, watch videos, and view picture guides in plain language. Topics may cover hospital care, going home, your wellbeing, and ways to take part in your child's care.

This information is general. It does not replace advice from your care team. Always ask them about your child.

Your child's journey

Keep the moments that matter

Save milestones and add your own notes about visits, feeding, pumping, skin-to-skin time, growth, or other moments available in your app.

Tracking is there to help you. It is not medical monitoring, and it does not replace your hospital's care record.

Privacy

Your information is protected

  • LuvviCare uses encryption when information is sent and stored. Information is kept in the region used by your hospital.
  • Your hospital controls access to your child's care information.
  • Each family member needs their own approved access.
  • You can ask us to delete your account. Your hospital still keeps any care records it must keep by law.
